Telugu Display Typeface Design
EELORA is a Telugu display font I designed with my batchmates Foram Shah and Srajit Agarwal in under a week with the guidance of Hitesh Malaviya during the letter design course at NID. We were a grxoup of three people unaware of the Telugu language or script, and after one week of nonstop trials and errors and long hours of discussions.
We were able to come up with these basic 29 glyphs, based on which we will be able to create the remaining 600+ glyphs.

TYPEFACE DESIGN
Eelora is a Telugu display typeface with very fluid forms and crisp stroke ends, inspired by the type on banners of streets and highway signs around India. Eelora is unique in its very stylistic curve ends and loud forms. It is bottom-heavy with moderate contrast. The counterforms are kept less compared to their counterparts. This is especially suited for large banners and posters.
